Why Birch Plywood?

Birch (Latin name betula pendula) is indigenous to Russia and the northern Baltic regions and grows most successfully in that area, unlike Birch grown in more temperate climates: slower growing trees produce denser wood which is ideal for plywood production.

Birch Plywood is a high performance product. The log structure allows for very thin veneers to be produced. The more cross-plies, the greater the stability and strength of a plywood panel.

Birch trees are plentiful in northern Europe and the number of trees standing and being planted in the forest areas outstrips
the current felling programme.
